Since almost everybody doesn’t like to wake up (early) in the morning I thought I had to do something to get me out of bed with more ease… A few years a purchased a wake-up light which just wakes you with a lamp that shines brighter and brighter until it is a 100% of brightness over a period of a half a hour. The idea is that you wake up earlier and rested. This worked for me for about a month and after that it waked me but I was very slumbered.

So I had to think of another thing to wake up easier… I came up with the idea of making the motivation of getting out of bed higher. This, I thought for me, can be done by fresh baked baguette and eggs. (more…)

Aka, A SmartAss:

This last semester I studied the minor “Embedded Systems” on my university, in this minor you learn a lot about most of the thing I count as my hobby; Electronics and programming. The minor takes a half a year and you have to do a certain project that takes about a half a year. The project I and a friend chose was a bit different, but a really cool one; The Avans Smart Assistant! (more…)

Today I finally got the chance to show you one of my latest projects, the automation of my bedroom, a domotica  controlled room. In this post I will guide you trough the process I went through making this possible:

Well how did I managed to do that? (more…)

It’s a bit stange but there are so much project I’m doing that I can’t get the time to post them online. I already wanted to post this for quite a long time so there it is…

A couple of months ago, in the summer I made a prototype with my cnc machine of a, sort of, centry gun turret. I milled them from a piece of plywood 4mm which is prefect for making little simplistic things like a turret. Since I already got this hand loaded airsoft toy gun I first made some drawings and milled them. (more…)

Since I made my little Atmega16 avr development board I wanted to make a program to read out a Wiimotion Plus which I bought from Dealextreme for about 12 bucks. The Wiimotion Plus works with the Two Wire Interface (TWI/I2C) and since I already got the protocol working with an EEPROM chip I needed to do some investigation on this WM+. This wasn’t a big problem since I do have a Bus Pirate which is a super awesome tool for interfacing new chips without writing code! So I did not have to worry about writing code, I only had to try and find the right commands to put on the I2C communication line. So I played with the Bus Pirate and the WM+ for some time and found out that its real easy to interface the WM+.
